The life of Jesus, as described in the New Testament Gospels, begins with his miraculous birth and childhood, includes his public ministry of preaching and performing miracles, and culminates in his crucifixion and resurrection.
He gathered twelve disciples, taught about God’s will and love, and challenged the Jewish religious leaders. His followers believe his death atoned for sins and that his resurrection and ascension into Heaven, from where he will return, offer salvation.
